project: City garden Belgian embassy

Starting point of this design was the creation of a fully-fledged garden in the centre of Berlin. The underground car park, however, made it nearly impossible to use tall plants. Landscape architect Benoît Fondu, however, developed a design in which large made-to-measure structures by Garsy® were used to integrate some sizeable box tree volumes. These bespoke structures enabled camouflaging the ventilation shaft of the underground car park entirely. The result: a city garden like a gem in Berlin’s very centre.
